This hide has been built in the fields that border our local wood. It is north-facing so sees all of the low winter light. We start feeding in early September and begin taking bookings from early November so as to allow enough time for the seed to be found by all number of woodland birds. The background is a distant hedge that changes colour throughout the seasons and the morning sun catches the hide beautifully. Some of the species you may encounter at the hide include great spotted woodpeckers, jays, finches and tits, and with its close proximity to the wood there is a good chance the resident fallow deer will also show themselves.
These birds are viewable at the following hides: The Woodland Hide
