A charismatic little bird with heaps of attitude, the little owl is a sought-after species amongst wildlife photographers. We have more than one pair that we work with every year and both sites are within disused barns with lots of rusty old farm machinery that the owls naturally use to perch on during their hunt for food. Later on into the breeding cycle when the young have left the nest we introduce mealworms to encourage the owls into the viewfinder. Sessions are done early morning from sunrise or late afternoon from 6pm into the night.
