The Woodland Hide

The hide has been built in the fields that boarder our local wood. It is North facing so sees all of the low winter light. We start feeding in early September and begin taking bookings from early November so as to allow enough time for the seed to be found by all number of woodland birds. The background is a distant hedge that changes colour throughout the seasons and the morning sun catches the hide beautifully. Some of the species you may encounter at the hide include great spotted woodpecker, jays, finches and tits and with its close proximity to the wood there is a good chance the resident fallow deer will show themselves.
